The Character of Moses: A Preschool Lesson on Confidence in God

$3.99

Description

Teach a beautiful lesson on character to your little ones through the story of Moses!

This engaging lesson teaches children the importance of believing that they are capable of performing difficult tasks by practicing the things that are hard for them and relying on God for help with things that are difficult. This hands-on lesson encourages kids to reflect on things that they are capable of, along with things that are harder for them, and to consider ways that they can grow and develop those harder skills. A fun exercise activity, which provides practice in fine and large motor skills, rounds out this interactive lesson.

Moses was a normal person like you or me. He was over 80 years old when God called him to free the Israelites from the Egyptians. Moses thought he couldn’t do that! The people wouldn’t listen to him, because he was bad at talking in front of people. But God chose Moses and would help him along the way.

Read Exodus 4:10-12 to your child and talk about how Moses felt incapable but God said that He would help Moses. God creates all people and He makes us different, but He also provides us with all the skills we need to share God’s word.

Spend a few minutes with your child, age 3-7, talking about feeling incapable and how God will help us through difficult tasks. Ask them about things they think they aren’t good at and things they think they are good at. Encourage them to practice and pray about the things that are hard and also to thank God for the things they are good at.

2 title pages to use as binder covers (1 color, 1 black and white for coloring), 2 character trait posters (1 color, 1 black and white), 2 sets of drawing/writing prompts (2 color and 2 black and white), and bonus pages: I can do it game! make this a 12-page pack.

Tasks Include:

  • Character education from a Biblical worldview
  • Drawing/drawing activity
  • Exercise game

Verses are written in KJV, or paraphrased from KJV for the purpose of this lesson.
