Mary’s Trust in God: A Character Lesson for the Nativity

$3.99

Description

Teach a beautiful lesson on character to your little ones through the story of Mary!
This character education lesson identifies several important character traits, as related to the story of Mary. This important lesson is sure to engage your little learners with two fun crafts, one on Mary and one on Baby Jesus! This is one of the lessons included in the full Preschool Bible Curriculum (growing bundle, to be completed soon).

Mary was a young girl, around the age of 12-14, when an angel appeared to her and told her that she would become the mother of the Son of God. Mary was calm, trusting, and very brave. She is someone that we can look up to when we are faced with a difficult situation or something that is scary. God will take care of us!

Read Luke 1:26-38 and talk about how Mary handled this situation. Not everyone gets a visit from an angel or is told that they are favored by God. Mary was so young but she handled it with such an open heart and mind.

Spend a few minutes with your child, age 3-7, talking about trusting God in hard situations. Ask him/her about a time when he/she felt scared and God helped him/her through it. Encourage him/her to pray for Mary’s character traits and being open to what God has in store for him/her.

2 title pages to use as binder covers (1 color, 1 B & W for coloring), 4 character trait posters (2 color, 2 B & W), Mary Craft and bonus pages: Baby Jesus Craft make this a 13-page pack.

Tasks Include:

  • Character education from a Biblical worldview
  • Coloring/cutting & gluing craft
  • Bonus craft

Verses are written in KJV, or paraphrased from KJV for the purpose of this lesson.
