This week’s frugal homeschooling featured website is Funtastic Unit Studies.  Each week, I’ll present a budget-friendly resource that will help you in your endeavors to teach your homeschooled child at home or to live an abundant life on a not-so-abundant budget!  So, without further ado, here’s this week’s fine pick!

Funtastic Unit Studies

Funtastic Unit Studies is full of great things for
homeschoolers—including freebies!

The
“Lessons and Activities” page has two great free science unit studies:  Atoms
and Molecules
for ages 8-13 and Plants
for ages 4-8. These free unit studies are taken from the author’s (Susan
Kilbride) book, Science Unit Studies for Homeschoolers and Teachers.  The same
page also has a series of FREE pdfs full of American history activities. These
activities were written to go along with the author’s Our America series of chapter books, but they can be used with any
unit on American history.

But that’s not all! Funtastic Unit Studies also has links to even more
freebies on its “Freebies” page!
And freebies aren’t the only things for homeschoolers on this site. The
“Historical Chapter Books” page has a list of historical chapter books for
young readers— perfect for supplementing history units. There is also a page
listing some of the author’s favorite homeschooling resources, and another with
great articles for homeschoolers. And don’t forget to check out the right side
of the website for links to Sue’s blogs and a chance to get another free
science activity!

You’re sure to find something you can use on
this site!
