  1. Hi. First time. I have been looking at many homeschooling blogs lately. Looking to star homeschooling my 3 yr old son. he has SPD and it's been hard finding a day care that can provide what he needs. We live in Puerto Rico. So far, love your blog I already liked you on fb.

  2. Thank you so much for this information 🙂 I'm starting to homeschool my Autistic daughter this year and I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. Blessings to you for putting in the time, it is much appreciated!! God Bless

  3. Hi Deana! I am new to your site (and blogging!) and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with all of us. We will begin homeschooling this Fall are super excited! I just don't know where to begin as far as curriculum. Since we have 4 children (1 in high school) to home-school, I am seeking a curriculum where we can all learn. I really like My Father's World, but it seems so expensive to get all of the needs for my children. Can you recommend any multiple children-type curriculum that is Christ-centered? Thanks for your help; I'm looking forward to becoming a part of your community. Congratulations & Blessings on your "new" family addition!

  4. Hello Deana!!!!

Ive had your blog bookmarked for a while now. Im from Puerto Rico and have two little ones, one is 6 and the other one is 2. We are planning on homeschooling soon. They attend a great Montessori school but we are planning and preparing for this new adventure.

Any information from anywhere is welcomed…

    Thanks so much…

  5. This is an incredible site! My wife and I are talking about starting a family and we've already decided that we will be homeschooling him/her when the time comes. We, too, live in Forsyth County. What a small, small world!

  6. Glad to find a site that is for both the thrifty-minded and the homeschooler! My daughter just turned 4 and we are about to begin doing preschool at home at her urging… she longs to read! We will be homeschooling her after that, also. It is interesting to see another homeschooler of a single child. We have only Gail, a miracle after two miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy before she was born, and then a second ectopic and yet another miscarriage after she came. It appears she may be an only child, and I feel a little left out amongst the many large homeschooling families I read about online or see at co-op. I'm anxious to being delving into your blog.

  7. I just found your blog and I have to say that you are very inspirational to me. I am currently teaching high school Spanish part-time but I am going to be a full-time SAHM after this school year (I am VERY excited) to my 4 year old and almost 2 year old sons. We are a bilingual family in Texas and I will be homeschooling the boys for many reasons (as a public school teacher I have many of the same reasons as you mentioned) and also so that the boys can be educated in English and Spanish. Great blog!

  8. Hi, I'm Karen. Haven't had a chance to get a good look at your blog yet, but I plan to soon. I am homeschooling my younger children (my older ones are in public school). I have 3 year old, a 19 month old and one on the way in April. I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and ways to live frugally. So glad to have found your blog through the Homeschool Creations Preschool Corner.

  9. I am Trina, homeschooling mommy of two little man cubs, ages 6 and 18 mos. This is our second year. I am currently on bedrest until April with boy #3 and doing the best I can to keep some type of learning going for my crew. Glad to "meet" you.

  10. I'm an old mom. An old mom with new kids, actually. My oldest son is 24. The littles are nearly five and practically three. It's pretty crazy this time around. The internet has really changed how we homeschool.

  11. Hi Deana,
Nice to meet you. I found you through the Carnival of Homeschooling. I posted a bunch of comments to try and win the crayons (I love Etsy stores, too.) and subscribed to your feed. I will really look around the site a little later when I have more time…it all looks so good.
You can find me, and about me, at my blog Everything Home With Carol…Homeschooling, Homesteading and Homemaking. I started it this year and am learning alot about blogging, the Internet and all that goes along with it.

  12. This is our second year of homeschooling. My son is 6 1/2, and my daughters are 3 1/2 and 22 months with one on the way in March. I love homeschooling and I need to be frugal by necessity – so this blog is a great combo for me! We live in western North Carolina near Asheville. I'm looking forward to reading your posts but I am having trouble subscribing. It's trying to make me take over your feedburner? Anyway, I at least have you bookmarked. Thanks!

  13. Hi, I'm Nancy from NY. I have a twelve year old daughter now homeschooling "jr. High". Love the the site. Wow! Each year brings new challenges and joys! I am also a trained teacher who when the time came just couldn't put my child in that environment so here we are 7 years later and loving it (most days:)). Great site, glad to see it!!!

  14. I'm new here and already LOVE your blog! (I came here from the SOTW newsletter.) I have a 9 1/2 year old and we have been homeschooling for just over 2 years now. It has been great for us and we love it. Plan to be here often – great stuff! Thank you! 🙂

  15. Hi, I'm Shelly from Louisiana. I am homeschooling two girls, ages 12 and 14. This is our first year and so far it has been very expensive. Glad I found your site.

  16. You have a great site! So glad I found it! I home school as well. I have an 11 year old, 2 year old and a baby. I LOVE being home with them! Nice to meet you! Rene
